DocTalk#2 – Sound Engineering in the Wild

Imagine our festival if we didn’t have filmmakers! They are an integral part of our event and with this in mind, we’d like to give a little back by hosting two DocTalks during the festival. These free shows provide a platform to meet and share ideas and are a great way to upskill. Anyone is welcome to attend, but filmmakers will get seating preference.

DocTalk#2 – Sound Engineering in the Wild

This DocTalk will focus on both mixing and recording and will look at a wide variety of microphones and techniques, as well as the theoretical background information you need. It is aimed at all those who might want to improve their sound mixing and recording techniques. Whether you’re looking to start a career in location sound mixing and recording, are a director looking to find out how to get better sound for your film, or an independent filmmaker looking to get another string to your bow, this location sound discussion is for you.

Hosted by filmmaker Frederique Olivier with a presentation by sound wizard Danny Fairley.
