Wanaka Session
Session 7

Shannon is a dynamic force in the world of whitewater kayaking and adventure, epitomising the spirit of exploration and resilience. With an insatiable thirst for challenge and discovery, Shannon has ventured to some of the most remote and challenging waterways on the planet.

His passion for expeditions and exploratory trips has led him to adventures in Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Madagascar, West Papua, USA, and, of course, New Zealand where his home base is Hokitika.

He’s a qualified carpenter and balances his work life between carpentry and whitewater kayak instruction. When not working Shannon also dabbles in canyoning, rock climbing and alpine tramping.
