Janina Kuzma is a prominent figure in the ski industry, widely recognised for her exceptional versatility as a female freeskier. With impressive accomplishments in both freeski halfpipe and freeride competitions, including being two-time winter olympian and champion big mountain skier, Janina has established herself as one of the best in the sport.

In recent years, Janina has expanded her horizons, turning her attention to mountaineering and filmmaking. As a professional mountain guide, she appeared in several skiing documentaries and produced her own works. In her acclaimed film East West, Janina and her team traverse the southern alps form east to west, bringing attention to the vanishing glaciers of New Zealand.

Janina’s 2020 film, “Peace Mountain”, documents her and Evelina Nilsson’s challenging ascent of Mount Hermon, situated on the borders of Israel, Lebanon and Syria. In “The Pursuit”, she and Sam Smoothy take on New Zealand’s second highest peak, Mount Tasman. Janina’s films have gained recognition world wide, with her works being showcased at numerous events and film festivals, solidifying her reputation as a respected industry figure.
