Book 1

Holly is an author, adventurer and outdoor recreation guide from Cornwall, UK. She spent her youth roaming the Cornish countryside as well as the French Alps and the Western Balkans, her ancestral homelands. Her restless spirit and unbound love for the outdoors have led her on adventures around the world, including circumnavigating Menorca by sea kayak at age seventeen, multiple long-distance hikes through England and Wales, and seasons guiding in Australia, the USA, the UK and, most recently, New Zealand.

Holly has called Central Otago home for the last year and a half and normally enjoys spending her free time tramping, paddling, climbing and curling up with a hot cup of tea and a good book. Following a cervical spine injury last winter season which displaced two of the nerve roots to her right arm, she discovered a passion for running and endurance events.

Her first memoir Routes, Glutes and Two Pairs of Boots was published in early 2023 and follows the journey of her nineteen-year-old self as she undertook her first big solo adventure: a thru-hike of Te Araroa in the 2019/20 season.
