Seeking the Light – Mountain & Adventure Heritage Book Award. Gavin has achieved a lot of personal climbing and guiding goals in New Zealand and overseas, but one challenge that remained unresolved was a desire to photograph and film New Zealand’s highest mountains. This project had been manifesting for 18 years and the book answered a deep personal desire to to make it. The book also speaks to the importance of spending time in nature, being mentally and physically challenged, and connecting spiritually with the environment. (The film is in post production)
