Follow professional skier Cody Cirillo and photojournalist Matthew Tufts on an unprecedented human-powered ski expedition: a 1,700 km, 35-day cycle-to-ski epic circumnavigating Iceland’s Ring Road. At the unlikely intersection of endurance cycling and freeride skiing, the film paints a poignant portrait of Iceland’s severe weather and unforgiving landscape, as experienced on two wheels and skis.
Amidst blizzards, ice-covered roads, and gale-force winds, the duo searches for fleeting windows to climb and ski 800 m couloirs and untouched faces. Blending raw grit and transparency with beautiful, cinematic footage, the immersive narrative cuts through tropes and stereotypes to deliver a strikingly visceral story of persistence, acceptance, and gratitude.
